My Approach
Small Classes
I believe in meeting the students on their level. This is how I can advise one student on how to add shading and encourage another to color inside the lines. This allows me to engage and encourage frequently with the class.
Hands on learning
Seeing is believing, but doing is learning. As the weeks go on, we incorporate vocabulary and skills into different art form.

Kids Ages 4+
Children 4-5 must be accompanied by an adult.
Who are you looking to get into art lessons?
Kids Ages 10+
Are given the same lessons with harder objectives. Students who have been attending class for longer get harder challenges than new students.
Adults
Can take weekly lessons along with Mrs. Wendy or can do independent study with ceramics. 1.5 pounds of clay or glaze included each week.
Wendy designed and installed “A Kern River Dream” in 2024 on California Ave through the Clean Air California Grant through the Arts Council of Kern.
